Thanksgiving Yummies!

These are my most popular Thanksgiving yummies this year!

These turkeys are so simple to make.  They are sporting yummy Hershey Nuggets!
These turkeys are covering peppermint patties.  These are simple to make also!

Both of these use one of my favorite and most used punches…the 1 3/4" scallop circle!  I have used this one so much that in the past few years I have gone through 3 punches.  If you do not have this punch, I would suggest you get it quick!  You will not believe what you can make with it!

Bayer's First Annual Garage Sale

I had such a fun week last week.  The stamp store that I teach card classes at (and purchase most of my materials!) had it's 1st annual garage sale on Thursday and Saturday.  I cannot believe how much there was to purchase!  I helped set the sale up and worked it both days.  It was a blast!

These are just two pictures of all the great stuff...and these were taken before we had everything out!

If you missed the sale this year, you will have to wait another year for it to happen again!  I would not miss the next year!

August Fun Fold Class

I am so excited about my next card class.  It is on August 29th at 6:30 at Bayer's Pampered Stamper.  Check out the address and phone number at the bottom of my blog if you would like to sign up.  It is only $15 to make 4 awesome cards and even a matching envelope for one of the cards!

My first card is a Halloween card.  It fits in an A2 envelope when it is folded up.  But when the recipient of such an awesome card opens the envelope they get to pop the card up to what you see below!  It stands very nicely on its own and is a great way to send a personal greeting!

Sorry that I have issues downloading some pictures.  Sometimes I have no control over how they want to download (see below:)

This is what the card looks like folded up.

The next card is a slide card.  When it is received it looks like the picture below.
And as you take it out of the envelope, pull on the ribbon and voila...a secret message appears!

The third card is super cute!  This is the card we will make a matching envelope with.

Below is what the card looks like when it comes out of the envelope.  Above is what it looks like when you open it up.  It hangs very nicely!
The fourth card is just plain fun!  You fold it up  and put it in the envelope.  The as it comes out of the envelope it opens up the what you see below!  Stands all by itself and looks very fun!

I hope you can join me for this fun class.  The seats are filling up quickly.....

July Card Class

My July Card Class at Bayer's Pampered Stamper is featuring Stickles!  I love Stickles...they add fun to everything I make!

This card is my favorite!  Stickles are great to use with embossing folders!  Plus I love to use the core-dinations paper with embossing folders, with a little sanding you have a great look!
Stickles can also be used as a background resist.  This card is not nearly as nice as it is in person.
In this card I painted with Stickles, I wish the picture showed all the glitter that the dress and headband have!!!

I love the way the Stickles look on black paper...Again, I wish the picture showed how awesome it really looked.

Stickles are really fun!  I hope you can join me for this class.  It is on July 25th at 6:30 at Bayer's Pampered Stampers in Toledo, Ohio.  The cost is only $15!

Graduation....already???

A good friend of mine from college just had her oldest daughter graduate form high school.  I cannot believe she is old enough to graduate from high school!  I remember holding her when she was a baby...time goes by too fast.  I wanted to make her a graduation card, but I wanted it to be simple and not all glitzy and such.  This young lady does not like a lot of glitz and formal type things.

I hope she likes the card.  Personally I love the birdies!!!!  I used the circle punches from SU and created their bodies.  I made the beaks and the caps free hand.  And of course I had to add my favorite things....googly eyes!!!!!

Graduation Invites

My hubby just earned his Associate Degree in Christian Ministry at Crown College.  I am very proud of him!  It is not easy to juggle lots of things going on in life and he has been juggling being a dad, husband, working full time, and going to school.  So, to celebrate this awesome achievement we are having a graduation party for him!!!  And of course he asked me to make simple invites for him in purple (the schools colors).  So that is exactly what I did.  I made him a simple invite using two older SU stamp sets: 'Tassel Time' and 'Introducing'.  I also used a nice purple paper (bought it at Hollo's Paper in Strongsville).  Then I used a silver paper I purchased at Crafts 2000 in Monroe and I used Dusty Concord Distress Ink by Tim Holtz (I really love these inks!!!!).  And of course I used one of my favorite dies for the Big Shot...Top Note! I love that die!!!
I stayed up late one night making these and could not wait for my hubbies reaction....and he loved them!  I hope his party is just as great!

June Stampin' Up!* Stamp Club

We had a great time at our June Stamp Club.
We tried something new and made a pop-up card..and it was really fun!!!!
I really like this card.  It fits in a basic A-2 envelope (it folds down just like the picture below) and then the receiver just pops it open!  What a fun way to get a card and a happy greeting!
We also made an 8X8 scrapbook page.  Below is the page we made.  It is pretty basic because I wanted my Stamp Club girls to create their own layout with the supplies I gave them.  I should have taken some pics of what they made because they came out so cute!!!
I love every Stamp Club meeting and the girls who are part of it!!!!  Can't wait to get together in July!

April Stamp Club

April SU Stamp Club has come and gone.  It was small group this month but we had a great time making our two projects.  We used one of my favorite stamp sets, Oh, Whale!, which can be found on page 29 of the smaller catalog.  We also used the corresponding Clearlits Die, Happy Whale, and the Sunshine and Sparkles Designer Series Paper.

The first project we made...

We made this cute little treat holder with a toilet paper roll.  Very simple to make.  Add the paper and stamp embellishments of your choice and what a fun little treat to give to someone!!!!!

Then we made....
I love this card, even though it is pretty colorful for my usual liking:)  To give it an extra pop, we used the Cloudy Day embossing folder on the Pacific Point cardstock.

Both these projects were super fun...can't wait until May for our next club meeting!

Close to my Heart Club

Although I am a Stampin' Up consultant, I am also part of a Close to my Heart Stamp club.  A really good friend of mine, Mindy- The Determined Scrapper, is a CTMH consultant.  Therefore, I have to be in her club:)  (Believe me, nobody twisted my arm).  At our last club meeting we made the cutest things!!!!

This first item is the most adorable Bunny candy holder.  Super cute for Easter!  I love his big teeth and floppy ears!  Great idea Mindy!
These cards were a card set we made.  They were placed inside a box we created and decorated.  I love the bows on these cards.  They came from one of the Cricut cartridges especially made for CTMH.  I am going to have to save my pennies for this cartridge...just to get the bows...I LOVE THEM!!!!!!!!
Thanks Mindy for such a fun time at Stamp Club!!!!

Card Class

It has been way to long since I have posted anything...I have no idea how time gets away from me so quickly!  It always seems to happen during the after Christmas winter months...I can't believe Easter is in just a few days.
Anyways, this Thursday I am having another card class.  It features a few stamp sets by Paper Smooches.  Before I got ready for this class I was not sure how I felt about the Paper Smooches stamp sets.  Now that I have made these cards, I have to admit that I really like the stamp sets.  Especially the one with the band-aid!  Super cute!!!!!!!

I know I am posting these super close to class date, but if you are free there is still room to sign up to take the class.  Please see the info at the bottom of my blog for how to sign up to make these four adorable cards for only $15!!!!
Soon I will post my next card class which will be on April 25th!
