Graduation....already???

A good friend of mine from college just had her oldest daughter graduate form high school.  I cannot believe she is old enough to graduate from high school!  I remember holding her when she was a baby...time goes by too fast.  I wanted to make her a graduation card, but I wanted it to be simple and not all glitzy and such.  This young lady does not like a lot of glitz and formal type things.

I hope she likes the card.  Personally I love the birdies!!!!  I used the circle punches from SU and created their bodies.  I made the beaks and the caps free hand.  And of course I had to add my favorite things....googly eyes!!!!!

Graduation Invites

My hubby just earned his Associate Degree in Christian Ministry at Crown College.  I am very proud of him!  It is not easy to juggle lots of things going on in life and he has been juggling being a dad, husband, working full time, and going to school.  So, to celebrate this awesome achievement we are having a graduation party for him!!!  And of course he asked me to make simple invites for him in purple (the schools colors).  So that is exactly what I did.  I made him a simple invite using two older SU stamp sets: 'Tassel Time' and 'Introducing'.  I also used a nice purple paper (bought it at Hollo's Paper in Strongsville).  Then I used a silver paper I purchased at Crafts 2000 in Monroe and I used Dusty Concord Distress Ink by Tim Holtz (I really love these inks!!!!).  And of course I used one of my favorite dies for the Big Shot...Top Note! I love that die!!!
I stayed up late one night making these and could not wait for my hubbies reaction....and he loved them!  I hope his party is just as great!

June Stampin' Up!* Stamp Club

We had a great time at our June Stamp Club.
We tried something new and made a pop-up card..and it was really fun!!!!
I really like this card.  It fits in a basic A-2 envelope (it folds down just like the picture below) and then the receiver just pops it open!  What a fun way to get a card and a happy greeting!
We also made an 8X8 scrapbook page.  Below is the page we made.  It is pretty basic because I wanted my Stamp Club girls to create their own layout with the supplies I gave them.  I should have taken some pics of what they made because they came out so cute!!!
I love every Stamp Club meeting and the girls who are part of it!!!!  Can't wait to get together in July!

For my June Card Class I got to experiment and play around with two super fun products by Adirondack.  I used the Color Wash and the Paint Dabbers.  I really like both of these products and cannot wait to show others how to use them in my class!

If you want to learn how to make these great cards and some fun techniques with the Color Wash and Paint Dabbers join me at Bayer's Pampered Stampers on June 27th at 6:30.  The cost is only $15 and you will have four great cards!!!  Can't wait to see you there!
