No Work for Me

Hi!  I just wanted to share what my kitties do when I try to be creative.  I currently have four kitties.  They all are very loveable and love when they get attention.  The following pics are of my newest kitty named Beau.  He has been living with is for almost two months.  Many evenings when I sit down to start creating this is what he does...

When he gets bored of laying on my project he moves to my lap...actually he isn't a lap cat, he prefers to sit right on my chest:

How is a girl to get anything done?????

Paper Molding

On Tuesday I had a demo night at the local scrapbook store, Bayer's Pampered Stamper.  I demoed a paper molding technique using toilet paper.  I was so excited about how neat the technique is and the way the cards turned out!
This technique is super simple too.  I used o few rubber stamps that have good grooves on them and layered 8 pieces of 1-ply toilet paper onto them.  Between each layer I used a stencil brush to put water over the entire piece of toilet paper covering the stamp.
This is what my molds looked like when I had all eight wet layers on the stamp.  I then let these dry overnight.  When I took them off the stamp and flipped them over there was an awesome imprint of the stamp!!!
Then using different mediums I decorated them and made cards!

These are the four cards I made..
On the Christmas card above I used Dew Drop Brilliance ink and a finger dauber to color the leaves.  I used red Candi dots for the holly.  The image looks so much neater in person.
On this friendship card I used the Perfect Pearl Mists by Ranger in Forever Violet to color the flower.  Again..looks so awesome in person.
This is my favorite!!!  In this one, I used the Dew Drop Brilliance Ink and a finger dauber for the green and purple on the flowers and leaves and large adhesive pearls from Stampin' Up!*.  To ensure the edges of the toilet paper mold were not going to fray I sealed them with Mod Podge.

I am really glad I used this technique for my demo...now on for  anew technique hunt for my next demo:)

CTMH Club

Although I am a Stampin' Up!* consultant, I love lots of different types of products (although, of course, I am partial to Stampin' Up!*:)
With that being said I have joined a 3 month Close to my Heart Kit club.  It is really neat.  Every month the consultant sends us one stamp set and supplies to make at least 3 cards (plus directions for the basic card!)
This month she sent us directions to three cards and then one envelope of extra supplies to see what we could make with the extras.  I made her three cards (one is not pictured because I already gave it to someone:) and then made 4 more with the extras.  The four cards on the left of this picture are the extras I made with her misc supplies.
This kit included A Bowwow stamp set (love the doggie!) and the Pemberly paper (which I also love!)
This was actually May's Kit...I can't wait to see the kit for this month!

Father's Day Card

Last night I made a quick Father's Day card for my Father-in-Law.  I thought this technique would be hard, but it was super simple and quick!  Love the patterned paper from Close to my Heart!

Window Card Class

Here are pics of the four cards we will be making at my Window Card Class on June 28th!  Hope to see you there!
